Welcome To The
Volunteer Connections Website
Mission Statement:
"To connect the wisdom, experience, and talents of volunteers with opportunities to enrich the quality of life for themselves and their communities".
Our goal is to match your interests, skills, talents, and time availability, with the right volunteer opportunity.
We engage community volunteers of all ages by recruiting, interviewing and matching the skills, talents, interests, and time availability to appropriate volunteer assignments. We can also look at assignments in close proximity to where an individual lives. We have agreements with over 200 private and public non-profit organizations that address community issues such as housing, homelessness, education, transportation, health care access, consumer protection, preserving the environment, and agencies that help at-risk children low-income families and more. Volunteers serve at a myriad of organizations including hospitals, schools, nursing homes, and agencies that serve seniors, low-income families and kids, emergency assistance and more.
Volunteer Connections is an affiliate of HandsOn Network and Volunteer Center National Network. Through our partnerships with the Hands On/Points of Light Foundation, and the Washington Service Commission, volunteer opportunities are now posted on a national database - www.1800volunteer.org. Click on the link to check out volunteer opportunities in Clark County, around the state, or around the country! We partner with other Volunteer Centers and RSVP programs in the state, with emergency responders, schools, congregations and civic organizations as well as volunteer resource managers to make Clark County a safer, healthier place to live, learn and grow.
All volunteers 55+ are automatically registered as RSVP volunteers. Besides experiencing the genuine joys while volunteering, additional benefits are available through RSVP such as insurance coverage, an invitation to the Annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon, and free subscription to our monthly newsletter located in the Senior Messenger Newspaper.
